Romans 3:18-20
Good News Translation
18 (A)nor have they learned reverence for God.”
19 Now we know that everything in the Law applies to those who live under the Law, in order to stop all human excuses and bring the whole world under God's judgment. 20 (B)For no one is put right in God's sight by doing what the Law requires; what the Law does is to make us know that we have sinned.

19 Now we know that whatever the law says,(B) it says to those who are under the law,(C) so that every mouth may be silenced(D) and the whole world held accountable to God.(E) 20 Therefore no one will be declared righteous in God’s sight by the works of the law;(F) rather, through the law we become conscious of our sin.(G)
