Psalm 2:5-7

⁵He speaks to them in His deep anger and troubles (terrifies and confounds) them in His displeasure and fury, saying,

⁶Yet have I anointed (installed and placed) My King [firmly] on My holy hill of Zion.

⁷I will declare the decree of the Lord: He said to Me, You are My Son; this day [I declare] I have begotten You.^(A)

⁵He rebukes them in his anger^(A)
and terrifies them in his wrath,^(B) saying,
⁶“I have installed my king^(C)
on Zion,^(D) my holy mountain.^(E)”

⁷I will proclaim the Lord’s decree:

He said to me, “You are my son;^(F)
today I have become your father.^(G)
