John 13:3-5
English Standard Version
3 Jesus, knowing (A)that the Father had given all things into his hands, and that (B)he had come from God and (C)was going back to God, 4 rose from supper. He laid aside his outer garments, and taking a towel, (D)tied it around his waist. 5 Then he (E)poured water into a basin and began to wash the disciples' feet and to wipe them with the towel that was wrapped around him.

3 Jesus knew that the Father had put all things under his power,(A) and that he had come from God(B) and was returning to God; 4 so he got up from the meal, took off his outer clothing, and wrapped a towel around his waist.(C) 5 After that, he poured water into a basin and began to wash his disciples’ feet,(D) drying them with the towel that was wrapped around him.
