Joel 2:9-11

Christian Standard Bible

⁹They storm the city;
they run on the wall;
they climb into the houses;^(A)
they enter through the windows like thieves.^(B)

¹⁰The earth quakes before them;^(C)
the sky shakes.
The sun and moon grow dark,^(D)
and the stars cease their shining.^(E)
¹¹The Lord makes his voice heard^(F)
in the presence of his army.^(G)
His camp is very large;
those who carry out his command are powerful.^(H)
Indeed, the day of the Lord is terrible and dreadful^(I)—
who can endure it?^(J)
