Will see a great light;
Those who live in a dark land,
The light will shine on them.

And I will appoint You as a ^(D)covenant to the people,
As a ^(E)light to the nations,

60 “^(A)Arise, shine; for your ^(B)light has come,
And the ^(C)glory of the Lord has risen upon you.
² “For behold, ^(D)darkness will cover the earth
And deep darkness the peoples;
But the Lord will rise upon you
And His ^(E)glory will appear upon you.
³ “^(F)Nations will come to your light,
And kings to the brightness of your rising.

¹⁶ “^(A)The people who were sitting in darkness saw a great Light,
And those who were sitting in the land and shadow of death,
Upon them a Light dawned.”

‘^(A)I have placed You as a ^(B)light for the Gentiles,
