Habakkuk 1:8-10

⁸ Their horses are swifter^(A) than leopards^(B)
and more fierce^[a] than wolves of the night.
Their horsemen charge ahead;
their horsemen come from distant lands.
They fly like eagles, swooping to devour.^(C)
9 All of them come to do violence;
their faces^(D) are set in determination.^[b]
They gather^(E) prisoners like sand.^(F)
10 They mock^(G) kings,
and rulers are a joke to them.
They laugh^(H) at every fortress
and build siege ramps to capture^(I) it.
