Ezekiel 19:9-11
Evangelical Heritage Version
9 With hooks they put him in a wooden cage,[a]
and they brought him[b] to the king of Babylon.
They brought him into prison
so that his roar would no longer be heard
on the mountains of Israel.
10 Your mother was like a vine in your vineyard,[c]
planted by water, fruitful and full of branches
because of plentiful waters.
11 Its strong branches[d] became scepters for rulers.
It towered high, among the clouds.
It was outstanding because of its height,
and because of the abundance of its branches.
