18 And he went out from Pharaoh, and he prayed to Yahweh. 19 And Yahweh turned a very strong west wind[a] and lifted up the locusts and thrust them into the Red Sea,[b] and not one locust remained in all the territory of Egypt. 20 And Yahweh hardened Pharaoh’s heart, and he did not release the Israelites.[c]

18 Moses then left Pharaoh and prayed to the Lord.(A) 19 And the Lord changed the wind to a very strong west wind, which caught up the locusts and carried them into the Red Sea.[a] Not a locust was left anywhere in Egypt. 20 But the Lord hardened Pharaoh’s heart,(B) and he would not let the Israelites go.
