¹⁰ It is in my heart now to make a covenant with the Lord, the God of Israel^(A) so that his burning anger may turn away from us.

⁸ Don’t become obstinate^[a](A) now like your ancestors did. Give your allegiance^[b] to the Lord, and come to his sanctuary that he has consecrated forever. Serve the Lord your God so that he may turn his burning anger away from you,^(B)
