^8 (A)We must not indulge in sexual immorality ^(B)as some of them did, and ^(C)twenty-three thousand fell in a single day. ⁹ We must not put Christ^[a] to the test, ^(D)as some of them did and ^(E)were destroyed by serpents, ¹⁰ nor grumble, ^(F)as some of them did and ^(G)were destroyed by ^(H)the Destroyer.
