¹⁶ Makir’s wife Maakah had a son by him. She named the boy Peresh. He had a brother named Sheresh. The sons of Sheresh were Ulam and Rakem.

¹⁷ The son of Ulam was

Bedan.

These were the members of the family line of Makir, the son of Manasseh. Gilead was the son of Makir.

¹⁸ Gilead’s sister was Hammoleketh. She was the mother of Ishhod, Abiezer and Mahlah.
